Lenny came to us with two fundamentals: a jaw-dropping 1920s cocktail ring he'd inherited from his grandmother, and plans to woo his partner, Madeline. As ever, we jumped at the chance to rework an old heirloom jewel. We love creating one-of-a-kind pieces rich in history and neutral in environmental impact.

De-setting the impressive 2.43ct octagon-cut emerald and salvaging six undamaged marquise diamonds from the original piece, our master craftsman Theo rehomed the stones in this striking Art Deco-inspired design. A sturdy raised setting creates an unobtrusive contour, designed for a future wedding band to sit perfectly flush; intricate milgrain beading enveloping the centrepiece pays homage to the 1920s with understated vintage charm; a fan of marquise diamonds either side is a playful nod to the original ring's flamboyant character; the band's intricate hand-engraved scrolls a signature Lebrusan Studio touch.

With the help of recycled gold, breathing a second wind into a selection of old gemstones meant we could create an entire piece without the need for any new materials. This sustainable jewel is the epitome of an heirloom piece - highly-crafted, rich in sentimental value and guaranteed to be cherished by generations to come.
